The Assemblies of God is a cooperative fellowship rather than a denomination. Each of our sovereign churches holds the same 16 Fundamental beliefs but is free to organize their services and church structures to best fit the community they serve. This uniquely loose organizational structure allows for each church to have access to the benefits of a large denomination (missions trips, camps, evangelism efforts, etc.) while still being free to express the Gospel message in a way unique to their given community. Because of this you can visit the more than 30 Assembly of God churches here in the St. Louis area and find each one a little different than the others.
Our national headquarters is located in Springfield, MO . They have issued “position papers” on some of the most frequently asked questions and we have provided a few of them here for your research. To better understand who the Assemblies of God is please click on this web address: www.ag.org
